Hi Folks, as you can see above my name is Russ Marsh I am a trombonist, having played with East Lancs Paper Group, CWS Manchester (back the day), Wingates, Leyland, Besses etc (so you could call me old or experienced I don’t mind 😅).
I do some work with Paul and Melanie. I can build websites so I built their website and also I’m involved with Elliott Brass UK so I have built the website for that as well. I have recently been trying out the Professional Open Wrap Symphony Trombone TB-928G Large bore (with my own mouthpiece because I wouldn’t advise anyone to use their mouthpieces). I had it for a month but I was immediately impressed from the first ‘toot’ with how good it was to blow and how ‘easy’ it felt to project the sound.
My own instrument is a Conn 88h Elkhart – (for the trombone nerds out there) which has been my daily blow since 1975 so I consider myself very lucky to have it still although I DO look after it BUT If I needed a new trombone, hand on heart, I would pick this Elliott TB-928G because recently I had a blow on a brand new Conn 88H and the Elliott 100% had a richer, bigger sound and comes in about HALF the price of the Conn.
Anybody considering a new trombone, whether it’s just time, or you’re off to college or a new band then the Elliott TB-928G is definitely one you should give some thought to.
