Professional Euphonium & Baritone Repair
Precision Alignment for Compensating Systems.
The modern compensating Euphonium is a masterpiece of plumbing—and a nightmare if neglected. A leak in the 4th valve loop can destroy the response of the entire low register. We strip the instrument down to its core components, mechanically aligning the complex web of slides to ensure the ‘pedal tones’ speak with the same clarity as the high range.
Common Low Brass Issues We Resolve
Compensating System Leaks: Pressure-testing the 4th valve loops to find and fix invisible air leaks.
Bottom Bow Trauma: Using heavy-duty steel dent rods to roll out major crushes in the bottom bow (the most common impact zone).
Leadpipe Angle: Correcting the ‘floating’ leadpipe alignment to prevent stress on the solder joints.
Silent Valve Action: Replacing worn guides and bumpers to eliminate mechanical clatter during technical passages.
